Integrated Pest Management Presentation Examples


Do a presentation on toxic pesticides – what they are, and why they are bad for the environment.
Explain how toxic pesticides impact your health.
Present on what Integrated Pest Management is, and why it is more effective that other pest control methods.
Explain what your school’s current pest control policy is, and why you want to change it to an IPM policy.
Describe what kinds of pests your school must deal with.
Explain what a Right-to-Know policy is.
Describe what people can do to minimize pests in schools and homes (keep food sealed, cleaning areas after eating, etc.)
Do a research project on a type of pest: what does it eat, how long does it live, where does it live, why do humans consider it a pest, etc.
Research and do a report on what your state laws say about using pesticides at schools.
Explain what a Pest Sighting Log is, and how it works into Integrated Pest Management.

Show ways to prevent the need for pesticides by keeping schools clean.
